IN THE INAUGURAL EVENT OF THE 2019-2020 academic year, the Penn Political Union's five parties debated the resolution, "The US should lend political and economic support to the Hong Kong protesters." After vigorous arguments on both sides, the nearly 50 attendees voted in favor of the resolution (with some abstaining), 24 for and 17 against.

A TWO-DAY CONFERENCE sponsored by the Mitchell Center, on May 24 and 25, brought scholars and practitioners together in Philadelphia for the purpose of planning a series of publications inspired by the dictum in Marx's Eleventh Thesis on Feuerbach: "Philosophers have hitherto only interpreted the world in various ways; the point is to change it."
