
Ibrahim Bakri is the Associate Director of the Andrea Mitchell Center for the Study of Democracy. He is currently a doctoral student at the Penn Graduate School of Education, where his research lies at the intersection of higher education, political science, and AI studies. He is a Nonresident Fellow in International Relations & Development at TRENDS Research & Advisory in Abu Dhabi, where he published on post-conflict economic reconstruction, U.S.-Middle East relations, and national responses to health and environmental emergencies. He has previously served as Assistant Director of the Middle East Center at Penn, and has interned with the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) and the Foreign Policy Research Institute within the Program on the Middle East. He holds a bachelor's degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) and a master's degree in Social Policy from the University of Pennsylvania.
