On April 1, The Mitchell Center, Penn Government and Politics Association, Penn Political Union, UPenn College Republicans, and Penn Democrats hosted a non-partisan Town Hall featuring 16 candidates running for Philadelphia City-Council At-Large positions. Topics ranged from poverty, public education, taxes and tax abatement, safe-injection sites, and green spaces, giving the more than 60 members of the audience a great opportunity to directly engage with local candidates on the issues before deciding who to vote for in the primary election on May 21 and the general election on November 5.
