THIS SPECIAL DCC EVENT spotlights Professor Gans' new book, A Political Theory for the Jewish People, which continues and extends the author's unique systematic philosophical analysis of the morality of the entire Zionist enterprise and its main product: the State of Israel. He seeks to provide a comprehensive philosophical analysis of both the status that ought to be granted to the Arab minority and with the way Israel ought to relate to world Jewry. Gans is a full professor at the Faculty of Law, Tel Aviv University, and currently a member at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey. He was awarded in 2012 the Landau Prize for Academic Excellence in Political Science and International Rleations, the Cheshin Prize for Academic Excellence in Law and The Bahat Prize for the best scholarly manuscript (in Hebrew) 2011. Previously, in 2004, he won The Minkoff Prize for Excellence in Law.
